Triage in Labor & Delivery:
Time: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Objective:
To learn the clinical presentation of women to labor and delivery, select and interpret appropriate diagnostic examinations, formulate a differential diagnosis and plan of management.
Preparation:
Please show up at the nurse’s desk after rounds and place your name and phone number and the word “triage” on the board
Participation:
You will work alongside the nurse or nurse practitioner to provide care in triage.
Evaluation:
Give the form, “ARNP’S, midwives, nurse shadowing and genetic counseling” and return evaluation to the practitioner she will then either give it back to you or place in the box in the lounge.
