General Guidelines

ABOG required rotations are completed in the first 2 years ( except for outpatient MFM experience, which is completed longitudinally)

UF Required Rotations

  • 6 months of Antepartum
  • 9 months of Ultrasound
  • 1 month of Fetal Echocardiography
  • 2 months of L & D
  • Longitudinal Outpatient Experience (ambulatory) – 13 work weeks of clinics across 3 years
  • 2 months of Genetics (1 perinatal and 1 pediatric)
  • 1 month of MICU
  • 2 weeks of NICU
  • 2 weeks of Transfusion Medicine
  • 12 months of Research.
  • 2 months of Electives; options include adult cardiology, perinatal pathology, fetal echo, OB anesthesia, and research

Courses

  • Basic Training and Reproductive Medical Genetics sponsored by the University of South Carolina PGY 5 or 6 (UF Program required by the end of year 2)
  • Stanford Statistics PGY 6 (UF Program required by the end of year 2)
  • RDMS (PGY 6: physics, OB; PGY 7: fetal echo) (UF recommended)

  • Amniocentesis
  • CVS
  • D&E (opt in)
  • Cesarean hysterectomy
  • Cerclage
  • Fetal shunt placement
  • PUBS/IUT
