How to Apply

The University of Florida’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Our selection criteria are consistent with ACGME’s specialty-specific requirements as well as the University of Florida College of Medicine’s “Eligibility & Selection of Residents” guidelines.

Requirements for MFM Fellowship Training

Applicants for our program must be ABOG eligible and have graduated from an approved Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Foreign medical graduates must have a valid ECFMG certificate before the application receipt deadline. If a visa is required to study in the United States, the University of Florida will support only the J-1 visa.

Application Process

The University of Florida College of Medicine participates in the Link to the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

Applications for our program should be submitted through the Link to Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Please include the following information with your electronic application:

  • Personal Statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • USMLE transcript
  • Three letters of recommendation from physicians or faculty members who are thoroughly familiar with your work, one letter must be from the current program director
  • CREOG annual exam scores – email to Chelsea Braswell, Program Coordinator

2026 Recruitment Deadlines

Our program follows the recommended standards from the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM).

  • April 27, 2026 – Application Deadline
  • May 20, 2026 – Initial Invite Release Date
  • May 27, 2026 – Final Status Notification
