Mary Ashby, M.D.
Mary was born in Napa and grew up in Novato, California. She attended Whitman College in Washington for her undergraduate education, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. After graduating, she worked as a Research Associate studying aerosolized drug delivery at Nektar Therapeutics in California, but her interest in medicine lead her to a position with UCSF’s Women’s Health Clinical Research Center. As a student at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Mary served as a founding Co-President of the UCF chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association. She also conducted research assessing urinary incontinence in women with diabetes which was presented as a poster at the 2012 American Urogynecologic Society meeting. She enjoys running, hiking, soccer, choral music, musical theater, and traveling.
