Dr. Jacqueline C. Castagno is Assistant Professor, Division of Gynecologic Oncology. She received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 1980 and M.D. with Distinction in Research from SUNY at Stony Brook in 1985. She completed her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York in 1989. Dr. Castagno went on to complete Research and Clinical Fellowships in Gynecologic Oncology at The Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., where she remained for 3 years as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology after completing her training. Subsequently she joined the faculty at St. Luke’s / Roosevelt Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Castagno moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1998 where she joined a large Gynecologic Oncology group. In 2006, she opened a solo practice in Atlanta.

Dr. Castagno is Board Certified in Gynecologic Oncology and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Castagno’s special interests include cancer prevention in women, clinical trials, treatment of vulvar and cervical cancer, HPV-related disease, and Palliative and Hospice care.
