The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is delighted to announce that Dr. Kay Roussos-Ross and The University of Florida have been awarded a contract with the Florida Department of Health in partnership with Florida State University to support a HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) federal grant to improve the identification and treatment of pregnant and postpartum women who experience mental health and substance use disorders. Florida was one of 6 states to receive HRSA funding for this initiative, which provides a total of 3.2 million dollars to the State of Florida. Dr. Roussos-Ross is the University of Florida site PI for this grant and her contributions to the effort will be supported over a 4 year grant period. Her role is substantial and will include the provision of expert mental health consultative services to obstetrics providers in the State of Florida, as well as program advisory support.

 Dr. Roussos-Ross is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Chief, Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology (ASGOG). She has board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.
